Vagus
A surgical odyssey tracing the Vagus nerve into the digestive tract of madness.
Set within the collage-constructed interior of Frances Farmer, players act as both audience and surgeon. You must traverse her oral theater to hunt the "Wandering Womb"———exposing a history where the female body is pathologized, and medical violence is disguised as treatment.

Extending the themes of my previous work, Control and Interpretation of the Body, I sought to create a more interactive and critical intervention.
Initially conceived as an anthology series exploring various "rogue organs" in different patients (including male subjects), the project evolved to focus on its first case: The Wandering Womb.
My goal was to construct a mechanism that critiques the systems of power—specifically those that pathologize female rage and autonomy in the name of "healing." The "wandering" organ here is not a biological accident, but a target for authority, revealing how medical structures are weaponized to silence the unyielding woman. The philosophical framework of this work originates from Michel Foucault's Madness and Civilization.
